The light-hearted game of epic conquest goes beneath the surface in this standalone game!

Designed by original Small World author, Philippe Keyaerts, it features all new Races and Special Powers, and introduces Monster occupied regions that protect Relics and Places of great power!

The goal is the same as in Small World: Choose a combination of race and special power (like royal lizards or grave cultists) and use their powers to conquer the underground world. In the end, your people is so weakened that they go into decline, but then you choose a new people and resume your conquests. Unfortunately, there is not enough space, so control of the game board will go back and forth as players use their races and special powers. Each conquered region generates coins, and the player with the most coins wins the game.

In Underground, this is further complicated by a large river that runs through the map, and above all by the magical places and powerful relics that can be conquered on the map.

Small World Underground is playable on its own, but can be combined with other Small World releases. The publisher recommends that players be familiar with Small World before playing Small World Underground.
