We'll be rich!" And now you have just opened the first pet ship in town. Right next door to the other first pet shop in town. Across the street from two more. Buy baby monsters! Feed them and watch them grow! Clean their cages! Yes. Running a pet store is exciting for an imp. But it can also be mentally challenging: What is the smartest way to win the upcoming exhibition? Which pet is best suited for your dungeon lord customer? How strong a cage do you need. And if you guess wrong. How many family members will be maimed? Win or lose. You are sure to enjoy the grind opening of dungeon petz.

The game consists of several rounds in which players use unusual worker placement mechanisms (players simultaneously prepare different sized groups of imps in order to play sooner than others). To become the leader of imp family that has just started a new business, they will have to prepare themselves for the uneasy task of raising creature cubs and pleasing their different needs represented by cards in order to sell them as grown scary creatures to Dungeon Lords. In the meantime they also attend various contests in which they show off their pets, scoring additional points.
