The tranquil city of Jokkmokk has hosted a world-famous market and folk festival every February for over 400 years!
Gather your family for a lovely trip around the folk festival. Each player gets two meeples representing their family members to move around the board to gain experiences, food, souvenirs, and more. Two decks are used to populate the market as the game progresses from the morning to evening.
The game board is lined with vendor stalls, each with a card representing its wares. Each turn, players move their family members, claim the item at their current space, and then refill the stalls. Will you focus on gathering charming mementos? Will you enjoy the sights and sounds of winter in northern Sweden? There are many paths to victory and fun.
Six out of the eighteen available sets of cards will be used during an individual game, each of which scores differently, offering tons of modular variety and interesting card combinations to explore. Points are scored by collecting matching sets, majorities, valuable cards, and even matching up quilt patterns.
Jokkmokk: The Winter Market captures all the old-world charm you would expect to find at the festival. Cozy up with new friends, drink some hot chocolate, and have fun collecting sets of colorful cards in beautiful Sweden!
