Ugears celebrates our collective love affair with cars and exploration with the NASA Lunar Rover, a stunning model "moon buggy" similar in design to the LRV. This spring-powered 1:15 scale wooden model features rotating and pivoting wheels, a satellite dish, front-mounted camera and a sophisticated mechanism to fold the rover into a more compact form for transport on a rocket ship, just like the original. When you fold out the wheel sections on this dynamic transformer, you'll be amazed when the axles quickly snap into place and the wheels, with their rubber treads, automatically pop into position! A hidden key located under the chassis is used to wind the latch mechanism, while a start/stop switch allows you to wind and then release your Rover to travel distances up to 3 meters.

Ugear's NASA Lunar Rover also features dual folding seats for the astronauts, a satellite dish that can be folded up and stored on the side of the Rover or deployed using a slot at the front left of the cabin, and a model camera arm that can be used positioned at the front of the vehicle, so that mission control can see and record your adventures! Engraving on the rover and its wheels represent all the electrical wiring on the original LRVs, while cutouts and other design details throughout the model make the rover lighter and add to its realistic look and feel.

For optimal Rover function, develop the gear by lubricating and operating all moving elements during construction. Use the rewind button to rotate the drum if your start/stop lever ever gets stuck. Make sure the 90-degree interlocking gears engage properly (you can press the frame to get the right fit). Although relatively durable, wood is a natural material and pieces can sometimes break during assembly. So be careful when assembling this NASA Lunar Rover.
