Starfinder takes place in the same universe as Pathfinder, but far into the future when the planet Golarion has disappeared in "The Gap" and its inhabitants have been forced into space. Just like its sister game, Starfinder takes the rules from the D20 system of the third edition of Dungeons & Dragons, but slightly simplified and streamlined to adapt the game to the space opera that is delivered.
Classic fantasy creatures like elves, dwarves and orcs encounter all the strange aliens you can imagine, and some that you probably can't imagine. Magic meets spaceships and faster than light travel.
Other sources of inspiration for Starfinder are titans like Star Wars, Alien, Guardians of the Galaxy and Warhammer 40,000.
