A deadly adventure in the mysterious and deadly castle Ath Ungol, popularly known as the Dragon Castle!

Many have tried to find the treasures hidden deep inside the Dragon Castle, but few have made it out alive to tell the tale. The mighty sorcerer T'siraman is said to have amassed a treasure beyond imagination. His lictors plundered the nearby villages to add to his hoard. The sorcerer's castle lies in the mountains of Ath Ungol, north of Mörkmården. Whether T'siraman is dead or not, no one knows, but it is said that an apparition haunts the Dragon Castle and a curse hangs over the castle. Who knows if these tales are true? Anyone who escaped with their life has long since died.

This adventure is a classic dungeon crawl in search for the treasure hidden deep within the Dragon Castle, protected by a sleeping dragon. The goal is to claim as much treasure as possible and to make it out alive. It is designed to be replayable, as it contains several pre-written events, but also enough random tables for the Game Master to make her own castle of dangers. The vast dungeon of the Dragon Castle can easily be included in any campaign, and in any world/setting.

Drakborgen/DungeonQuest the board game was created by Jacob Bonds and Dan Glimne with its first release in 1985 by Alga. In 2022 Fandrake kickstarted a new and improved edition of the boardgame which included a stretch goal to create an adventure site for Forbidden Lands, written by Per Holmström.

This adventure for Dragonbane is an updated conversion of the Forbidden Lands adventure.
