Dungeons & Dragons, the world's first role-playing game, was created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson and published by Tactical Studies Rules (TSR) as early as 1974. This legendary game, for many synonymous with the word "role-playing", is now owned by Wizards of the Coast and on its fifth edition. Without Dungeons & Dragons, we probably would not have had any other role-playing games, and in games like Pathfinder, 13th Age and Hackmaster, the legacy of D&D is obvious.
